DepEd memorandum pertaining to MSAT 2017 administration
The Manila Science High School (MaSci) website has announced that it will accept applications for the 2017 Manila Science Admissions Test (MSAT) from November 7, 2016 until January 13, 2017. As per As per the Division of City School Manila Memorandum No. 427 dated October 10, 2016, the date of examination is on January 21, 2017 (Saturday) and will be conducted at the Manila Science High School Testing Rooms.
The following text is taken from the MaSci website:
Only qualified applicants need apply and must have the following qualifications:
- A candidate for graduation of any government-recognized elementary school;
- Not over 13 years of age at the opening of the School Year 2017-2018;
- Must have a grade of at least 85% in Mathematics, Science, and English subjects, and a grade of at least 83% in all other subjects for the First and Second Grading Periods. Grades in the succeeding grading periods lower than the aforementioned grade qualifications are grounds for disqualification; and
- Possesses good moral character and in good health.
In addition, qualified applicants should secure and prepare the following requirements for submission:
- Certified True Copy (with school seal) of Form 138, reflecting the First and Second Grading Period grades for School Year 2016-2017;
- Certificate of Good Moral Character (with school seal) signed by the school principal;
- Two 1×1 ID pictures in school uniform and with name tag; and
- NSO birth certificate (original and photocopy)
Applicants are advised to visit the MSHS Administration Office during school days from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM except during the holiday break.

My son graduated with highest honors equivalent to valedictorian but he was not included in the lucky 253 is there a chance for him to still consider to enroll in manila science high. He was from private school in Bulacan thank you admin..
My sister is in grade 5 this coming school year, and I’m planning to transfer her in public school in grade 6 to meet the qualification of MaSci, and i’m wondering if it is a good idea because I really want her to study and learn a lot of things specially in high school life.
Your sister doesn’t need to be in public school in Grade 6 to meet MaSci qualifications. She only needs to pass the MSAT, and she must have no grades below 85 in any subject.

My daughter is interested to take an entrance exam for SY 2018-2019 in Senior High Schoo (Grade 11) . We are here in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. When will be the tentative date for the examanation.
