College application season in the Philippines is off to a roaring start, with three of the so-called Big Four universities bringing back the college entrance tests for the 2023-24 freshmen intake. The University of the Philippines (UP), however, is suspending the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) for the third consecutive year, citing public health concerns and logistical issues.
