Teach Together : Senior High School (SHS) online portal by CHED

Note: The Teach Together site has been discontinued, just another casualty of the haphazard and slipshod execution of programs by the Department of Education. In its place is the DepEd Commons website. The DepEd Commons is an online plaform where resources and materials for learning and teaching the curriculum are shared, discovered, and reviewed. I will be leaving this post as is, to remind us that nothing lasts forever, especially if it’s a DepEd official site.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has launched an online support program to assist schools all over the Philippines in their implementation of senior high school (SHS). Dubbed “Teach Together,” the online portal aims to “ensure quality of teaching in SHS amidst varying contexts, locations, and experiences of teachers across the country.”
Aside from helping formulate the senior high school curriculum, CHED collaborated with higher educational institutions, primarily the Philippine Normal University, to develop teaching guides for 19 Core Courses and Academic Track subjects. Print copies of the SHS teaching guides have been distributed to educational institutions currently offering SHS, while digital versions can be accessed on the Teach Together portal.
Access to the senior high school teaching guides on the Teach Together portal requires a one-time registration. Registration is quick and free of charge. In addition to the SHS teaching guides, Teach Together features lecture videos by master teachers on 17 SHS core subjects. Moreover, teach Together hosts an online forum where teachers can share best practices and exchange ideas regarding teaching strategies, tools, and resources.
